Auction Terms & Conditions
Information on Terms: By registering to bid, you agree that you have reviewed and accept our terms and conditions. Please be sure to read them in full.
Condition of items: GC5 Auctions has made our best effort to accurately and completely describe each item, but all items are sold as-is and where-is, with no warranty intended or implied. If there is a condition statement, it does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear or imperfections. It is the buyer's responsibility to examine all photos and ask questions as needed.
Payment: Payment is made with the credit card on file at the time of registration. We accept all major credit cards. Payment must be made before the scheduled pick-up. First-Year Participants with invoices containing gold or silver jewelry, or investment coins must pay by cash, wire transfer, or ACH (echeck). All automobile invoices must be paid via wire transfer. Buyer agrees that all items are sold as-is and where-is with no warranties intended, implied, or provided. By agreeing to these terms, no credit card chargebacks will be initiated or accepted.
Buyers Premium: Buyers will be charged a 10% buyers premium.
Bids: Once placed, we can not retract bids. Please be careful when placing bids.
Included items: Display stands and other items for display are not included unless specified.
Extended Bidding or Soft Close: Our soft close feature ensures bidding is fair for all. In the closing moments of an auction, if a bid is placed during the moments on an item, it will extend the bidding for that item for an additional time. Typically, this is 90 seconds but can be longer in certain circumstances. This is similar to a live auction, during which the bidding will continue as long as bidders increase the bid amounts.
This functionality was built into the online auction system to build the fairest consumer bidding system possible.
Shipping and Pick-Up: All auctions have a designated pick-up time as stated in the auction. If pickup is in our client's home, there will be a link provided at the bottom of your invoice to sign up for a specific time slot. We do this so we can control traffic within neighborhoods. This also allows us to have your small items pulled prior to your getting there, which allows us to serve each customer more efficiently. Often, this is the only access we have to the property, and we must adhere to this schedule. Items brought back to our office and left longer than 72 hours will be considered abandoned and disposed of as we see fit. The buyer is responsible for the packing and loading of all purchased items. Shipping is available at the buyer's expense on small items, and we recommend you contact GC5 prior to bidding. We will not ship furniture or very delicate items at this time. GC5 Auctions charges a $7.00 handling charge per package shipped.
Item sizes and weights: GC5 makes its best effort to provide accurate dimensions on listed items. Often, measurements are available in the photographs. When weighing sterling silver flatware sets, we do not include the knives in the weight as the blades are stainless.
Tax: NC Sales tax will be charged unless we are presented with a valid and current NC Sales Tax Resale Certificate at time of registration.
